The twisted #8 rod was the trouble maker that pounded the head and finally broke causing debris to get caught in the crank throw and #7 piston stretching it until it too broke its rod.

A top fuel piston and rod is now as useful as my twisted up paper weight. The top fuel piston made around 650 HP while mine only made about 65 HP.

The crank weights and throws chewed everything up as the journal tried to spin a half a rod.

The neighboring journal showed no signs of damage and the crank spins real nice without the drag of the pistons. I guess the rod simply wanted to come apart.

The spinning broken rod tried to clearance the block for a bigger stroke. It did a very poor job and I will be buying a new block.

The shrapnel went everywhere and took out a piece of the #6 piston skirt and cylinder wall.

The remaining pieces of the big end of the offending rod. The ARP bolts didn't give up their clamp.

The rest of the smaller pieces that didn't make it to the top of the engine ended up here.

Surprisingly, the pan held it all in. Not a drop of oil, or metal, came out.

The cam was hit and embedded with metal.

The following is a collection of junk as everything was embedded with metal or had pieces missing:
